Dead Like Me: Life After Death

A crew of reapers, tasked with extracting souls from those on the brink of death, finds themselves in disarray when their habitual meeting place burns down and their boss disappears. Their new leader, Cameron Kane, a slick businessman who died falling from the World Trade Center, introduces them to a world where nothing they do matters - leading them to perform misdeeds such as saving souls meant to be reaped or focusing on their own desires for financial gain. The team's actions have unintended consequences, causing "waves" of misfortune elsewhere, but ultimately, George Lass, the film's narrator, is reinstated after her identity is revealed to her family, sparking a chain of events that may signal a new era for the reapers.
