At Eternity's Gate

Famed but tormented artist Vincent van Gogh spends his final years in Arles, France, painting masterworks of the natural world that surrounds him. The film follows his struggles with artistic and emotional exhaustion, as he renders landscapes and still life in oil on canvas or pen and ink. Despite his growing physical and mental instability, Van Gogh finds solace in the company of friends and fellow artists, including Paul Gauguin. Ultimately, it is a journey to the brink of tragedy, marked by an infamous ear cutting and a fatal bullet wound.
