Goyo: The Boy General

"Goyo: The Boy General" is a 2018 Filipino epic war film starring Paulo Avelino as Gregorio "Goyo" del Pilar, a young and brash brigadier general tasked by President Emilio Aguinaldo to hunt down Luna's loyalists after the assassination of General Antonio Luna. Alongside his brother Julian, friend Colonel Vicente Enriquez, and photographer Joven Hernando, Goyo attends festivals and courts Remedios in Dagupan while also facing challenges from American Generals Elwell Stephen Otis and Arthur MacArthur Jr. The film follows Goyo's struggles as he devises a delaying strategy at Mount Tirad Pass before being killed by an American sniper, leading to the eventual defeat of the Filipino army and Aguinaldo's capture.
