Under Western Skies

In the 1945 American Western musical film "Under Western Skies," Katie Wells (Martha O'Driscoll), a vaudeville star, and her troupe are waylaid by local bandit King Carlos Randall (Leo Carrillo) until they arrive in Rim Rock, Arizona, where she captures the attention of Sheriff James Whitcolm Wyatt (Irving Bacon). Tod Howell (Noah Beery Jr.), an Arizona teacher, saves Wells from Randall's gang and begins courting her, but their plans are thwarted when Randall kidnaps her. Eventually, Sheriff Wyatt rescues Wells, and she and Howell get married.
