Class Act

In this 1992 comedy film directed by Randall Miller, Christopher "Kid" Reid stars as Duncan Pinderhughes, a genius high school student, while Christopher "Play" Martin plays Michael Charles "Blade" Brown, an ex-convict who swaps lives with Duncan after their records are mixed up. The mix-up leads to Blade being placed in gifted classes and Duncan struggling in minimal classes, but as they navigate their new situations, they both learn valuable lessons about identity and relationships. In the end, they succeed in winning back their respective love interests, Ellen (Karyn Parsons) and Damita (Alysia Rogers), with the help of a knowledge bowl competition.
