The Last Descent

In 2009, John Jones, played by Chadwick Hopson, a medical student and experienced caver, enters Nutty Putty Cave with his brother Josh, who tells him it has been reopened after being previously closed. After Emily leaves to pick up Josh's car, the two brothers explore the cave together. When John gets stuck in an 18-inch wide hole, he alerts Josh, who then tries to pull him out but is unsuccessful. As hours pass, rescue worker Susie, played by Jyllian Petrie, arrives and begins a conversation with John, who shares his relationship with Emily, including her pregnancy. The drilling attempt to pull John out goes awry, causing another collapse, but he miraculously awakens and finds the strength to push himself out of the hole, realizing he has died and is now a spirit in the afterlife.
