Vampire in Brooklyn

Detective Rita Veder (Angela Bassett) is assigned to investigate a baffling serial murder case in Brooklyn, New York City. There, she meets Maximilian, a smooth-talking Caribbean playboy played by Eddie Murphy, who becomes smitten with her and enacts a plan to transform her into a vampire. As Rita struggles with visions and unexplained occurrences, Max manipulates her into consuming his blood, attempting to fully transform her before the next full moon. Eventually, Rita rejects her vampiric half and impales Max, curing herself of his curse and reuniting with her partner Detective Justice (Allen Payne).
