In Copenhagen, 2018, Department Q investigates a frightening discovery in an old apartment that leads them to an infamous institution for girls closed in the early sixties. Nete Hermansen (Fanny Leander Bornedal) was assigned to this facility as a teenager and became embroiled in a life of henbane recreationally with her roommate Rita, who later sexually assaulted her. Decades later, the two victims are linked through a series of cold cases connected to Dr. Curt Wad (Elliott Crosset Hove), a doctor at Sprogø. As Carl Mørck (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) and his partner Assad navigate the case, they uncover dark secrets about the facility's past and Nete's own transformation into a traumatized woman seeking revenge.
