The War

The son of a Vietnam War veteran must deal with neighborhood bullies as well as his dad's post-traumatic stress disorder while growing up in the deep south in the 1970s. Elijah Wood plays Stu Simmons, a young boy struggling to cope with his father Kevin Costner, who portrays Stephen Simmons, a Vietnam veteran suffering from PTSD. The film follows their journey as they navigate the challenges of childhood and family dynamics amidst a backdrop of social and economic hardship.
