Exorcist: The Beginning

In the early 20th century, Father Lankester Merrin's faith lies shattered after his World War II experiences, as he struggles to reconcile his past traumas with his present role as an archaeologist in British Kenya. When he is approached by a collector of antiquities to retrieve an ancient relic from a recently unearthed Byzantine-era church, Merrin embarks on a perilous journey that sets him face-to-face with an evil presence thought to be connected to the demon Pazuzu.
