Killing Me Softly

Alice is a young American woman living in London who believes she is happy in a secure job and a relationship with her boyfriend. After a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger, Character Name (Joseph Fiennes) takes her to his house where they have passionate sex. The following day, Alice seeks out Character Name again, discovering he is a mountain climber who saved six people in a tragic event that killed several others, including the woman he loved. As their relationship deepens, Alice becomes troubled by mysterious letters and phone calls, leading her to question Character Name's past and ultimately discover she must escape him before it's too late.
