The Horse Thief

The Horse Thief is a 1986 Chinese film that follows Norbu (Rigzin Tseshang), a devout Buddhist who struggles to support his family in Tibet after being charged with stealing from the temple and banished from their clan. With his son Tashi (Jamco Jayang) dying of illness, Norbu's focus shifts to keeping his newborn child alive, leading him to risk everything to reunite with his wife Dolma (Jiji Dan) and child, even if it means returning to his outlaw ways as a horse thief.
