Shortbus

In post-9/11 New York City, Sofia Lin (Sook-Yin Lee), a couples counselor and sex therapist, struggles to achieve orgasm with her husband Rob. After a confrontation with Jamie and James, a couple considering opening up their relationship, Sofia attends an underground Brooklyn salon called Shortbus, where she meets a dominatrix named Severin (Lindsay Beamish) who helps her loosen up sexually. As the characters' lives become increasingly entangled, they all converge at Shortbus, leading to unexpected connections, confrontations, and ultimately, a collective breakthrough in their quest for intimacy and understanding.
