Bill Maher travels around the world examining various religious beliefs and practices, interviewing believers from different backgrounds and groups, including a former member of Jews for Jesus, Christians, Muslims, ex-Mormons, and Hasidic Jews. He visits notable destinations like Jerusalem, the Vatican City, and Salt Lake City, as well as taking a tour at the Creation Museum and the Holy Land Experience. Maher challenges religious tenets, such as proof of Christ's existence and Jewish Sabbath laws, and raises questions about homosexuality and creationism.
