The Cable Guy

Jim Carrey stars as Chip, an eccentric cable installer who becomes obsessed with architect Matthew Broderick's life after moving into his apartment. Initially overzealous in befriending Steven, Chip's behavior turns dark and menacing when Steven tries to end their friendship. As Chip's obsession escalates, he begins stalking Steven and intruding on his personal life, leading to a series of vengeful acts that culminate in a dramatic confrontation at the central satellite dish.
