Drop Dead Fred

In this offbeat black comedy fantasy film, an unhappy housewife's life is revitalized by the return of her imaginary childhood friend, Drop Dead Fred. The film follows Elizabeth Cronin as she reunites with Mickey Bunce and recalls memories of her childhood friend, whose chaotic antics brought her happiness in the past. As Elizabeth tries to win back her ex-husband Charles, Fred's methods cause problems, leading him to be trapped and eventually killed by his own prescribed medication. Ultimately, Elizabeth comes to terms with letting go of her imaginary friend and finds a new path to happiness and freedom.
