Major Payne

Major Benson Winifred Payne, a battle-hardened Force Recon Marine and Vietnam War veteran, is discharged from the Marines and finds himself at a loss for what to do in civilian life. His former commander secures him a job as commandant of a local school's JROTC program, where he must whip a group of misfit youth cadets into shape for the Virginia Military Games. As Payne clashes with the school counselor over his tough approach, he discovers that beneath their differences lies a deep attraction. With an unlikely bond forming between him and one of the cadets, Payne teaches them discipline and camaraderie as they prepare to take on Wellington Academy in the ultimate showdown.
