Miki Nakatani plays Mai Takano as she investigates the mysterious death of her boyfriend and discovers a videotape haunted by Sadako's spirit, which kills anyone who watches it exactly one week later. As Mai tries to find a way to protect herself and her boyfriend's son Yoichi from becoming the next victims, they must confront the supernatural abilities that are taking over Yoichi's life. Reiko Asakawa, played by Nanako Matsushima, is also searching for answers after her father and ex-husband die under similar circumstances, teaming up with Mai to uncover the truth behind the cursed videotape.
