Stranger Than Paradise

Willie, a surly small-time gambler from Hungarian origin, forms an unexpected bond with his young cousin Eva when she visits him in New York. Eva stays for ten days before moving to Cleveland, where her aunt Lotte lives. Willie and his friend Eddie visit her, leading to a strange trip to Florida. Along the way, Willie's esteem for Eva grows as he learns about her resourcefulness and independent spirit.
