The Wandering Earth

In the year 2058, a rapidly expanding red giant Sun threatens to engulf Earth within 100 years. To avoid extinction, humanity builds massive fusion-powered "Earth Engines" to propel the planet out of the Solar System and into a new orbit around Alpha Centauri. Chinese astronaut Liu Peiqiang is part of this mission aboard the Navigation Platform International Space Station, where he leaves his son Qi in the care of his father-in-law Han Zi'ang. As Earth approaches its gravity assist around Jupiter, a group of escapees must work together to prevent a collision and find a way to restart an Earth Engine before it's too late.
