Little Big Man

The film "Little Big Man" is told through a 121-year-old Jack Crabb's (Dustin Hoffman) life story, framed as an interview from a historian. As a ten-year-old, Jack survives the massacre of his parents and is rescued by Shadow, a Cheyenne brave, who raises him in his village. The boy unwittingly makes an enemy but eventually saves Younger Bear's life and becomes known as "Little Big Man." Jack's life takes various turns, including being captured by American cavalry troops, becoming the apprentice of snake-oil salesman Meriweather, and meeting Wild Bill Hickok. He also reunites with his grown sister Caroline and marries Olga, a Swedish woman, but their happiness is short-lived as they face tragedy and loss in the American West.
