In this gripping drama, Alan Bates plays Mick, a taunting and quasi-sadistic brother who torments an old homeless man, Mac Davies, when he's not around. Donald Pleasence stars as Davies, a derelict who finds temporary solace in the home of Aston (Robert Shaw), a quiet and reserved man living alone in a cluttered London house. As tensions rise, the boundaries between host and guest, brother and brother, begin to blur in this tense exploration of power dynamics and psychological manipulation.
