Valentín Bravo (Eugenio Derbez), Acapulco's resident playboy, is suddenly saddled with a love child at his doorstep when a former fling, Julie Weston (Jessica Lindsey), leaves a baby girl, Maggie, on his doorstep and then disappears. Valentín sets off to Los Angeles to find the mother, hitchhikes across Mexico, and eventually lands a job as a stuntman. He raises Maggie for six years, balancing his fun-loving lifestyle with his new responsibilities, while also hiding the truth about Maggie's biological parents from her.
