It Came from Outer Space

Amateur astronomer John Putnam (Richard Carlson) and schoolteacher Ellen Fields witness a large meteorite crash near a small town in Arizona, discovering a round alien spaceship just before it's completely buried by a landslide. They soon realize that the "meteorite" is actually a spacecraft inhabited by aliens who take on human form to blend in with the locals. As tensions rise and people begin to disappear or act strangely, Sheriff Matt Warren (Charles Drake) comes to believe Putnam's story, leading to a desperate search for the alien occupants.
