The film follows LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy over 48 hours, from the band's final gig at Madison Square Garden to the morning after. The concert coverage is interspersed with a 48-hour interview between Murphy and pop culture writer Chuck Klosterman. Several notable appearances include Reggie Watts during a duet and backing vocals by Arcade Fire members.
