Swing Vote

Swing Vote is a political comedy-drama film about an entire U.S. presidential election determined by the vote of one man. Heavy-drinking slacker Ernest "Bud" Johnson lives in a trailer in Texico, New Mexico, where his wife, Larissa, left him and their young daughter, Molly, to pursue an ill-fated singing career. Bud's single vote somehow decides the victory of the presidential candidate of his choice, with both candidates and their sleazy handlers trying to prey on him, pandering on every issue, desperate for money and power, depending on his vote. As Bud navigates this unexpected turn of events, he must confront his own flaws and ultimately make a decision that will determine the outcome of the election.
