Johnny Come Lately

Johnny Come Lately is a 1943 drama film starring James Cagney as Tom Richards, a drifter who comes to a new town and faces the question of choosing integrity or financial gain. With the help of newspaper proprietor Grace George (Vinnie McLeod), a woman of integrity, Richards shakes up the town's corrupt mayor Dougherty and his son, who falls in love with Mrs. McLeod's niece.
