Junior Healy moves from Cold River to Mortville, Oregon, a quiet community, as a way to start over with his father Ben. However, Junior's past misbehavior and antics quickly disrupt their new life, as he deliberately wreaks havoc on each of Ben's dates with women. Meanwhile, Junior's nemesis, Igor Peabody, promotes him to sixth grade after declaring him a "genius" to get rid of him next year. As Ben becomes smitten with school nurse Annie Young, Junior retaliates by sabotaging their budding relationship and leading Ben into a series of misadventures.
