Harlem Nights

In 1920s Harlem, a small-time operator named Sugar Ray and his young protégé Quick run an upscale nightclub, Club Sugar Ray, which hides a brothel in its back. The club's success threatens the business interests of ruthless gangster Bugsy Calhoune, who sends corrupt police sergeant Phil Cantone to demand a majority of the weekly earnings. As tensions rise, Ray and Quick hatch a scheme to rob betting houses owned by Calhoune, leading to a deadly game of cat and mouse between the two men and their allies in a world of organized crime and corruption.
