Drunken Master

Jackie Chan plays Wong Fei-hung, a mischievous young man who is sent to train under Beggar So (Yuen Siu-tien), a brutal but slovenly old beggar who teaches him the secret of the Drunken Fist, a form of martial arts called "The Eight Drunken Immortals" named after the eight xian that the fighting style references. Wong eventually gains humility and respect for So as he masters seven of the eight styles with the exception of Drunken Miss Ho's, which he feels is too feminine.
