The Siege of Jadotville

Irish Commandant Pat Quinlan (Jamie Dornan) leads a stand-off with troops against French and Belgian Mercenaries in the Congo during the early 1960s. The film is based on Declan Power's non-fiction book about the real battle of the Irish army during the UN's peacekeeping mission in the central Africa, where Quinlan commands an infantry company that holds out for weeks despite being vastly outnumbered.
