Venus

"Venus," a 2017 Canadian comedy-drama film, tells the story of Sid (Debargo Sanyal), who is just beginning to come out as a transgender woman when she unexpectedly discovers that she has a teenage son (Jamie Mayers) with a former high school girlfriend. As Sid navigates her newfound identity and family, a snowball effect forces everyone out of the closet, leading to a modern exploration of gender, generations, and cultures.
