Woman of Straw is a 1964 British crime thriller directed by Basil Dearden and starring Gina Lollobrigida as Maria Marcello, Sean Connery as Anthony Richmond, and Ralph Richardson as Charles Richmond. The film follows Anthony's scheme to persuade Maria to marry Charles in exchange for his £50 million fortune, with which they plan to spend the money after his death. However, when Charles dies under suspicious circumstances, Anthony murders him, pretending that Maria is still alive and framing her for the crime.
