The Man Without a Face

In 1968, Justin McLeod has been living an isolated existence as a painter for seven years, after a car accident that disfigured his face. A fatherless 12-year-old, Chuck Norstadt, wants to pass the entrance exam of a military academy he failed earlier and meets McLeod on a ferry where McLeod witnesses Chuck in an act of vandalism. Chuck needs a tutor to help him, and upon discovering McLeod is a teacher, Chuck persuades him to become his tutor, developing a close friendship that blossoms into something more.
