"Cities of Last Things" is a thought-provoking drama that unfolds in reverse chronological order, tracing the life of Zhang Dong Ling from his ultimate act of desperation to the events leading up to it. Through three distinct time periods, the film masterfully weaves together a complex narrative of regret, longing, and the blurring of reality.
