The Last King

In 13th-century Norway, a brutal civil war rages as the Birkebeiner faction, loyal to the king, clashes with the Bagler supporters of the Norwegian aristocracy and Church. Amidst this turmoil, two men must protect a baby, the illegitimate son of King Håkon, who will one day become the future king and peacemaker from those who seek to kill him. As the war intensifies, Skervald and Torstein embark on a perilous quest to safeguard Haakon's life, facing treacherous landscapes, treacherous foes, and their own mortality.
