The Running Man

A man fakes his own death in a glider accident, then runs into trouble when an insurance investigator starts taking a close interest. He and his accomplice, a grieving widow, perpetrate insurance fraud to collect £50,000 life insurance as revenge against the same company that refused to pay a previous claim. The investigation leads to a cat-and-mouse game between the couple and the relentless insurance investigator, who ultimately uncovers their scheme, but in an ironic twist, it ends with the woman revealing that she knew him all along - not as her deceased husband, but as a man she met on holiday.
