"Ash Is Purest White" tells the tale of love and betrayal set in China's underworld, following a dancer named Zhao Qiao (Zhao Tao) who fired a gun to protect her mobster boyfriend Guo Bin (Liao Fan) during a fight. On her release from prison 5 years later, she sets out to find him, facing challenges as she struggles to regain her life and confront the reality of their complicated past.
