Pokémon: Detective Pikachu

In a world where people collect Pokémon to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent monster who seeks to be a detective. Detective Pikachu, voiced by Ryan Reynolds, is a world-class detective and exceptionally intelligent talking Pikachu that only Tim can understand. Together with his partner Tim Goodman, they attempt to solve the mysterious disappearance of Tim's father, Harry, a police detective in Ryme City. Along the way, they uncover a sinister plot involving genetically engineered Pokémon and a powerful gas that threatens the city.
