Little Ashes

In 1922, Salvador Dalí arrives at art school in Madrid, where he catches the attention of social elite poet Federico García Lorca and aspiring filmmaker Luis Buñuel. Together, they form the nucleus of modern artist group in Madrid, but their private lives become increasingly complex as Federico ignores advances from devoted friend Magdalena and Salvador finds himself drawn to Federico's magnetism. The film explores the doomed love affair between Dalí and Lorca, a relationship that has long been the subject of speculation and debate among historians and biographers.
