Schlock

In the 1973 comedy horror film Schlock, a quiet Southern California suburb is terrorized by a mysterious monster emerging from a cave, leading to a series of hilarious and gruesome events as a group of teens stumble upon its true identity: a 20-million-year-old apeman named Schlockthropus. This prehistoric creature falls in love with a beautiful blind teenager, Mindy Blinerman, but their romance is short-lived when she regains her sight. The film is a parody of 1950s monster movies, shot on a shoestring budget and showcasing the talents of director John Landis in his debut role.
