Creation

"Creation" is a psychological and heart-wrenching love story about Charles Darwin's struggles to finish his legendary book "On the Origin of Species." Torn between faith and science, he must confront his devout wife Emma (Jennifer Connelly) and his own fears and doubts after their eldest daughter Annie dies. Through flashbacks and hallucinations, the film shows Annie (Martha West) as a vibrant apparition who goads her father to address his fears and finish his big work. With the help of his friends Joseph Dalton Hooker (Jeremy Northam) and Thomas Henry Huxley, Darwin eventually finds the courage to publish his groundbreaking theory, healing his relationship with Emma and restoring his health.
