The Science of Sleep

Stéphane Miroux (Gael García Bernal), a shy and creative young man, moves to Paris to accompany his mother after her father's death in Mexico. He gets a job at a calendar printing company and becomes interested in his next-door neighbor Stéphanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg), who is also artistic and creative. As Stéphane becomes enamored with Stéphanie, the line between dream and reality blurs, making him unsure of whether her feelings for him are real. The film follows their complicated relationship as they navigate love, art, and identity amidst surreal and naturalistic elements that overlap in Stéphane's reality.
