Hot Pursuit

In this 1987 action comedy, high school student Dan Bartlett (John Cusack) finds himself on a wild adventure after missing his plane to a Caribbean vacation. He embarks on a chaotic chase, teaming up with island natives, crusty old sailors, and even corrupt cops, all while trying to catch up with his girlfriend's family - but their yacht has been taken hostage by pirates. With the stakes high and the pace frenetic, Dan must use his wits and whatever resources he can find to rescue his girlfriend and make it out alive.
