In the Army Now

Two misfit friends, Bones Conway and Jack Kaufman, join the United States Army Reserves to make easy money for their entrepreneurial dreams, but soon find themselves in the midst of war as part of a water purification team. After surviving basic training and water treatment training, they are deployed to Chad, where they must use their unique skills to help complete a failed Special Forces mission. Along the way, they face ambushes, desert landscapes, and Libyan commandos, but ultimately prove themselves to be heroes through their bravery and ingenuity. Their war story culminates in a triumphant return home as "heroes" who open up their own electronics shop next to an Army recruiting station.
