Nothing in Common

Tom Hanks plays David Basner, a shallow, childish yuppie who returns to work from vacation after his parents announce their divorce. His father, Max (Jackie Gleason), is fired and struggles with diabetes, while his mother, Lorraine, is emotionally fragile. As David tries to navigate his responsibilities, he must confront the harsh realities of his family's situation.
