In this thrilling reboot, a prehistoric alpha predator rises from the depths to wreak havoc on modern-day Japan, forcing an American soldier, Ford Brody, to confront his troubled past and join forces with a group of scientists to stop the monster and its parasitic companions, known as MUTOs. As the creatures leave destruction in their wake, Ford must navigate the complexities of his family's dark history and team up with his estranged father to prevent the monsters from destroying San Francisco.
