The Killer Inside Me

Deputy Sheriff Lou Ford (Casey Affleck) is a pillar of his small west Texas community, hiding his dark secret of being a sociopathic sadist. He begins an affair with Joyce Lakeland, a prostitute who enjoys pain, and devises a plan to extort $10,000 from Chester Conway, with the help of Sheriff Bob Maples. However, things take a deadly turn when Lou kills Elmer, Conway's son, and Joyce survives, leading to a cat-and-mouse game with the authorities. As Lou's reputation falters, he finds himself trapped in his own web of violence, ultimately meeting a tragic end.
