The Angry Red Planet

The Mars expedition rocket is on its way back to Earth after being out of communications since arriving on Mars. When only two of the four original crew are found on board, one with a horrible fungus growth attached to him, Dr. Iris Ryan recounts their mission in detail as she helps find a cure for Col. Thomas O'Bannion's badly infected arm. The crew explores Mars' surface, encountering a carnivorous plant, an immense creature resembling a rat/bat/spider/crab hybrid, and a giant amoeba-like creature with a single spinning eye.
