A young couple's relationship begins to suffer when they struggle to conceive a child. Laia Costa stars as Elena Aldana, a cynic about relationships, opposite Josh O'Connor as Jake, a romantic. They meet randomly and spend day and night together, missing work and talking into the early hours. As their infertility journey continues, Elena and Jake's relationship is put to the test, leading to explosive arguments and a growing sense of foreboding. In the end, they must confront the possibility that they may never have children together, but still find love in each other's arms.
